How to choose
Square or rectangular?
The square 16-quart crate is the classic size for home storage, moving and organizing. The rectangular 24-quart crate is half again as large and is the standard size used by dairies and for bulk storage. If your shelves are 13" deep, both fit; choose the rectangle when you need more room per crate.
When to pick a Half Crate
The Half Milk Crate has the same 19 × 13" footprint as the rectangular crate at about half the height. It's easier to reach into on shelves and works well for produce, retail displays and shallow items.
When to pick a Closed Wall Crate
Choose the Closed Wall Crate when small parts, bottles or loose items could slip through an open-lattice crate. It has the same footprint as the square crate with solid sides.
When to pick a Super Crate
The Super Crate is our tallest, strongest crate. Its 14.5" interior height keeps 12-inch vinyl LPs fully inside the crate, and it's sized for larger items like charger plates and 5-gallon water jugs. See our vinyl record crate guide.
